    is the same drawing available with dimensions ?… what do u think of switching the jag irs out for a corvette c5 transaxle..u get a manual transmission an an improved f/r weight ratio…mark……p.s….I know it would be an engineering challenge.

      I did have the table of dimensions at one time. I originally obtained information from Jaguar while performing repairs on a badly damaged XJS. But, it may be available from a body & frame shop.

      Interesting thing about undertaking unusual ‘projects’.. Succeed or fail, there will always be those that disapprove, and those that approve. Not certain how practical this particular one would be, given the costs, benefits, and challenges involved.. But, hey, never say never..
      You could set the engine back to shift balance, and there are lots of transmissions that could provide a bunch of benefit when compared to the original. Play with the gear set (depending on vintage, it may be a Dana) are you are lighting a fire under the cat so to speak..
