Motorcycles

It’s a shame there weren’t more bikes on display.  But, what was there was excellent, original and interesting.
In all fairness to the bike guys, if you have some better photos (a little camera problem), send them in with the details of you and your bike, and I’ll be happy to get it posted for you.

In 2002 Terry (Buff) McGovern of North Battleford, Saskatchewan, was in the market for a new v twin motorcycle and felt the Honda vtx 1800 was the biggest most reliable bike out there and bought one in June. Only a month later, entered into a car show, Terry met Wade Miller, owner of TooTall Airbrush Custom Graphics from Landis Sask, an incredibly talented freehand airbrush artist and had him look at the bike to see what we could do to spruce up that basic blue paint. They got together again in the fall of 02 and decided on a total makeover. Being a cat lover/owner, Terry decided on the endangered Snow Leopard as the theme, and left the bike with Wade to do whatever he wanted with the graphics to tell a story about the endangered cat on the whole bike. Terry has been showing the bike ever since 2003 in numerous shows sharing with the public the story of the Snow Leopard. Terry loves showing and sharing the bike with the people and riding in events. The cat bike has been in 53 shows , won 64 trophies, and worn out 4 sets of tires.
In 2007 Terry joined a couple of non profit Motorcycle clubs that do charity work and ride in recognition of our war veterans. www.canadianlegionofriders.ca and www.rblr.co.ukthey are an endangered entity also and without their sacrifice most of us wouldn’t have the good life and freedom we all take for granted. and they should be remembered.Terry says his greatest rewards with the cat bike are having the children sit on the bike to get their picture taken with one of the snow leopard teddy bears, seeing the smile on their faces, and shaking the hand of an old grizzled war vet as he tells a story about riding a bike in the war way back when. life was too short not to try and enjoy in some of these special moments and to tell our kids to take care of the earth, and each other, and i will continue as long as i can…
