    Determine the over all width required to accomodate the patio blocks you are going to use around the box opening. Then, calculate how much of the box sides you need to fold down, to provide the over all dimensions you require. Stitch cut at the appropriate location, along the sides. Stitch cutting will keep the material attached, yet weakened enough to fold over with some persuasion. Slice down the corners of the box to free the sides to fold.
    The stitch cuts can be welded closed to complete.
